Mario Guralnik, PhD
President & CEO
Mario’s entrepreneurial experience began when he left the University of California Los Angeles and began working at Amgen. Mario led the erythropoietin team to massive success and spent years working on many FDA and industry advisory boards and committees, gaining the respect of medical leaders and industry innovators. Mario went on to found Synergy Research, Inc., where he has worked with a multitude of clients to successfully launch their drug and device programs. Mario is also a frequent lecturer at the Drug Information Association, Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, and is a subcommittee member of the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research. Mario’s expertise, leadership, and energy make him the ideal CEO for Synergy Research.
Stacey Lense
Senior Vice President, Global Operations
With over 30 years of experience in clinical research, operations, and healthcare, Stacey has made a successful career in setting a strategic vision for excellence by scaling and enhancing operational methods and practices throughout her work. Stacey started her career in Clinical Operations at a mid-sized Contract Research Organization and quickly advanced to run large pivotal clinical trials and manage complex programs. In 2000, Stacey branched out to open her own prosperous niche CRO where she worked primarily with novel start-up companies. In 2010, Stacey partnered with Synergy Research to begin working on larger programs, and in 2013 she made Synergy Research her new home. Stacey has a great deal of experience building winning teams to achieve all operational targets and deliverables for a clinical trial. She is a seasoned mentor within the industry and effective in extending that kind of relationship experience to business partners, C-Suite executives, and industry leaders, all of which make her an impressive executive leader for Synergy Research.
